We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AS400 Developer to join our IT team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) development, including RPG IV/ILE, CL, and DB2/400.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting business applications running on the AS400 platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain applications on the AS400 platform using RPG IV/ILE, CL, and SQL.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Support and enhance existing applications to meet evolving business needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and other developers.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Maintain technical documentation and provide user support and training as needed.
Required:
5+ years of experience in AS400/iSeries development.
Proficiency in RPG IV/ILE, CL, and DB2/400.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
Experience with data modeling and performance tuning on DB2/400.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
This role will support our legacy system. We are in the process of replacing this legacy system with an SAP system. 50 Plants will be rolling into SAP over 3 waves. First wave is Nov 2025, second wave is Feb 2026 and 3rd wave is May 2026.
