Behavioral Health Therapist

• Sequoyah Adolescent Treatment Center (SATC), 3405 W. Pan American Freeway NE, Albuquerque, NM 87101.
• New Mexico State Veterans Home (NMSVH), 992 South Broadway, Truth or Consequences, NM 87901.
• Fort Bayard Medical Center (FBMC ), 41 Fort Bayard Road, Santa Clara, NM 88026.
• Los Lunas Community Program (LLCP), 1000 Main Street NW, Los Lunas, NM 87031

• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship
• Clearance Requirements: National Crime Information Center (NCIC) with fingerprints and Drug Screen
• Estimated Compensation: $23.04 - $27.85 per hour (negotiable).
• Type of Employment: Full-Time, 40 hours a week.
• Employee Paid Group Benefits Offered: Health/Dental/Vision.
• Paid Time Off per Year: Up to 80 hours per year, occurring on day one.
• Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56 hours per year, occurring on day one.
• Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays.

Summary of Duties

The Behavioral Health Therapist provides evidence-based mental health services to individuals, families, and groups experiencing emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges. This role involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention to support clients in achieving improved mental wellness and functioning.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current licensure in the state as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent. Additional certifications (e.g., trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT) preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in behavioral health or related setting.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certified, in accordance with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Clinical Services

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.

• Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Collaboration & Coordination

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, case managers, and other professionals to coordinate care.

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations.

• Refer clients to appropriate community resources and support services.

Compliance & Ethics

• Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

• Maintain licensure and participate in continuing education.

• Follow organizational policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
