Overview
A nursing program in Boise, ID is seeking a Full-Time BSN Nursing Instructor to join their academic team. This position focuses on classroom instruction, clinical supervision, and student evaluation in accordance with program and state requirements. Faculty development is provided for candidates without prior teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with instructors to prepare, administer, and grade exams and final evaluations
Track and submit class attendance, grades, and clinical performance records
Plan and supervise student clinical experiences; provide immediate feedback on performance
Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs and verify safety standards
Orient new faculty to theory and clinical instruction
Utilize adult learner teaching principles and integrate online activities into instruction
Maintain student records, assist with program data collection, and submit reports to Director
Participate in nursing program committees and faculty meetings
Continuously improve instructional quality and stay current with technologies and safety regulations
Advise students and provide access through office hours and electronic communication
Qualifications
Required
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited institution
Active RN license in the applicable state
Minimum 3 years bedside RN experience
Clinically competent per CCR 1420(c)
Expertise in Pediatrics or OB-Gyn
Preferred
No previous teaching experience required; faculty development provided
Coursework in nursing education, administration, OB, Pediatrics, or Psychiatry
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $95,000 per year
