Position Summary

CDNL uses multimodal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to study the functioning and structure of neural circuits that support self-regulation of thoughts, actions, and urges, as well as circuits that support learning and memory. The lab's mission is to advance knowledge that informs prevention and treatment strategies for youth psychiatric conditions and to train the next generation of scientists and clinicians.

The Cognitive Development & Neuroimaging Laboratory (CDNL), also known as the Marsh Lab, in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to facilitate a clinical trial examining the use of a cognitive control training program for children (ages 8-12) with obsessive-compulsive disorder. They will support Principal Investigators, Drs. Rachel Marsh, Kate Fitzgerald, and David Pagliaccio, and the research team in the successful implementation of clinical research activities. The incumbent will lead recruitment, collect clinical, behavioral and MRI data, manage participant flow, and oversee study-relatedadministrative activity and regulatory compliance. The selected candidate will also be responsible for data organization, quality assurance, and analyses with opportunities to publish conference abstracts and papers.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of the clinical trial, including managing participant recruitment, screening, consenting, and scheduling participants for evaluation and study visits. 25%
  • Lead MRI scan visits, including preparing child participants for the MRI scan, acquiring MRI data while maintaining clinical sensitivity to comfort levels and needs, and assisting with data transfer and quality assurance procedures. 20%
  • Assist with development and oversight of the clinical trial, by co-writing study proposals and IRB amendments, preparing study materials, and helping develop and maintain REDCap databases for data collection. 15%
  • Manage and monitor study databases, by entering any paper data, checking data for completeness and accuracy, and tracking participant flow throughout the study protocol. 10%
  • Assist with presentation and dissemination of research data, including supporting data analyses, and helping prepare talks, posters, and manuscripts, with opportunities to contribute to independent projects for conference presentation. 10%
  • Ensure regulatory and IRB compliance, by maintaining up-to-date regulatory documentation and conducting monitoring reviews of participant data and study procedures. 10%
  • Support team coordination and supervision of trainees, by coordinating and leading weekly research team meetings and assisting with training and day-to-day oversight of research volunteers. 10%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, or related field or equivalent in education and experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with MRI research and/or REDCap data management.
  • Prior experience working on clinical trials or IRB-regulated human subjects research.
  • Experience with basic data analysis (e.g., Excel, R, SPSS, or similar).
  • Demonstrated interest in developmental psychopathology, OCD, or cognitive neuroscience.
