Job Description
We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to support second-shift manufacturing operations in a precision-driven production environment. This role is responsible for setting up, running, and adjusting CNC and conventional milling equipment to produce high-quality metal components that meet exact specifications.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable making real-time adjustments to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and consistent output. You will work closely with fellow operators and production leadership to maintain workflow, uphold safety standards, and support continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Second Shift: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and manual milling machines to manufacture metal parts according to blueprints and technical drawings
- Load raw materials and remove completed or in-process components during production cycles
- Select cutting tools and determine proper feeds, speeds, and offsets
- Make edits or adjustments to CNC programs to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish
- Measure and inspect parts using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Identify quality issues and report defects or process deviations promptly
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment or process issues as they arise
- Complete production, tooling, and maintenance documentation accurately
Job Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC milling equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform machine setups and make program or tooling adjustments
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tolerances, and surface finishes
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve basic machine issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently on second shift
- Willingness to follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
