Job Description

LaSalle Network is looking to hire a Freelance Graphic Designer for a 3-4 month contract.

This is for a client of ours in the education space, and they are ideally looking for a designer coming most recently from working in higher education, nonprofit, or an association environment.

This position is full-time hours and mostly remote, with occasional onsite requirements in the north suburbs of Chicago.

What You’ll Do

• Design and produce a wide range of materials, including annual reports, event announcements, internal communications, email marketing templates, brochures, and large-format print graphics (such as tradeshow displays and posters).
• Translate complex information into visually compelling and accessible layouts.
• Maintain brand consistency across all design projects, ensuring alignment with visual identity standards.
• Collaborate with writers, marketers, and project stakeholders to develop creative solutions that effectively communicate key messages.
• Prepare files for both print and digital output, coordinating with vendors as needed.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

What You Have:

• 4+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within a higher education, nonprofit, or association setting.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); experience with PowerPoint and/or Canva a plus.
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, and accessibility best practices for both digital and print design.
• Experience designing multi-page and large-format materials (e.g., annual reports, white papers, banners, tradeshow graphics).
• Your own equipment (client will provide access to design platforms and materials, but must have your own equipment)

This position is a contract opportunity paying $35/hr+ depending on experience and can be fully remote for the right candidate!  LaSalle Network contractors have the opportunity to enroll in benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance
