A mission-driven nonprofit organization in the DTLA / Silver Lake area is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead and own the accounting function during a critical period of growth and increased audit activity. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can balance strategic oversight with day-to-day execution. Title: Controller
Compensation: Up to $150k in base DOE + health insurance + retirement match + robust PTO + Benefits
Location: 5 days Onsite in Silverlake/DTLA area
Key Responsibilities:
Own the accounting function end-to-end, including day-to-day operations and leadership oversight
Lead the annual audit process as the primary point of contact
Support organizational growth through improved financial processes and controls
Manage and develop the accounting team
Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and best practices
