Job Description
Summary Seeds of Excellence Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Director of Philanthropic Impact** who is committed to Christian education and will maintain a biblical worldview in all aspects of giving and fundraising. This individual will work closely with the CEO and Head of School to develop and implement strategies for grant writing and fundraising initiatives.
The role will focus on creating a comprehensive giving plan for both incremental and one-time donors, cultivating relationships with donors, and managing stewardship efforts to enhance support for the academy's mission. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the Head of School and CEO to establish a unified vision for fundraising and giving while also managing the Impact Circle, a group of dedicated individuals supporting the academy.
Duties Key Responsibilities: Grant Research and Identification:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from federal, state, local, and private sources aligned with the academy's mission and strategic goals.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of grant opportunities, corporate sponsorships, and potential individual donors.
Grant Proposal Development:
- Collaborate with the CEO and Head of School to understand funding needs and develop compelling, well-structured grant proposals.
- Write, edit, and format grant proposals, ensuring compliance with funder guidelines and standards.
Fundraising Strategy and Giving Plan Development:
- Work in tandem with the Head of School and CEO to create a robust giving plan that targets both incremental and one-time donors.
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies, campaigns, and initiatives that engage the community and promote the academy?s mission while fostering a generous giving culture.
Impact Circle Management:
- Manage the Impact Circle, a group of individuals dedicated to supporting the academy, fostering relationships, and encouraging their active involvement in fundraising efforts.
- Organize and coordinate meetings, events, and initiatives for the Impact Circle to strengthen their commitment and engagement.
Donor Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and manage relationships with current and prospective donors, corporate sponsors, and grant-making organizations to ensure ongoing engagement and support.
- Steward donors by providing regular updates on the impact of their contributions and involving them in school activities and events.
Creating a Generous Giving Culture:
- Promote and nurture a culture of generosity among all stakeholders, encouraging contributions driven by love and commitment to the academy?s mission and biblical principles.
- Organize events and initiatives that highlight the importance of giving and the impact of donor support within the school community.
Communication and Reporting:
- Communicate effectively with the CEO and Head of School, providing updates on funding opportunities, grant proposals, and fundraising efforts.
- Prepare required reports for grants and donations, ensuring compliance with funding terms and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of all grant and fundraising activities, tracking submissions, awards, and reports.
Collaborative Support:
- Partner with faculty and staff to identify funding needs for specific projects and initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of promotional materials and presentations related to fundraising efforts.
Requirements Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s degree in Nonprofit Management, Education, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising, with a successful track record of securing funding.
- Strong understanding of grant writing principles, fundraising strategies, and donor engagement tactics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- A commitment to Christian education and the ability to maintain a biblical worldview in relation to giving and fundraising.

Position Schedule: Hybrid Work Arrangement:
- On-campus work for 3 days a week (M, W; F).
- 1 day of "in-the-field" meetings with Impact Circle through "get-give initiative" with partners, prospects, donors.
- 1 day of remote work.
