Job Description

**Responsibilities** **Position Summary:** + This position is responsible for driving/transporting residents to and from various locations. + This position is expected to know and support the mission and values of Dominican Oaks, and to apply the Dominican Oaks philosophy while performing daily job tasks. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a 19-passenger van to assist residents in attending various outings, including visits to museums, concerts, gardens, factories, and local state parks. Additionally, you will drive our Cadillac to provide medical transportation for residents, taking them to appointments such as doctor or dentist visits and to pick up prescriptions. **Qualifications** **Minimum:** + Two (2) years of related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience. + High School Diploma/GED - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) + Current and valid CA Commercial Class B driver's license with Passenger Endorsement - required if driving a passenger transportation vehicle designed to carry more than 10passengers, including driver and First Aid Certification from AHA within 90 days. + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. + Ability to speak effectively with residents and staff. + Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. + Ability to demonstrate basic math skills. + Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate good judgment and problem solving skills. **Overview** Dominican Oaks is a beautiful 206-apartment retirement community located in a quiet wooded setting behind Dominican Santa Cruz Hospital where we have served our community for over 25 years.
