WGL Inc is a FedEx Ground contractor operating out of Troutdale, Oregon terminal. We are looking for reliable, hard-working Part-time Helpers/Jumpers to assist Delivery Drivers.

This position is responsible for ensuring timely delivery with exceptional customer service to our business and residential customers. This is a fast-paced job, riding in a FedEx Ground delivery vehicle. Helpers ride with drivers and assist in the delivery of packages.

Applicants who have previous delivery experiences such as Lyft, Uber, pizza delivery, paper routes (newspaper delivery), valet parking, and other similar jobs, all qualify.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Follow all safety, handling and delivery procedures to avoid personal injury and property damage
• Lift, carry, and move packages of various shapes, sizes, and weights
• Strong sense of urgency to complete deliveries and pickups in a timely fashion
• Meet or exceed WGL Inc and FedEx expectations for superior customer service
• Comply with appearance guidelines, to include Dress Code (uniform shirts & pants provided)
• Weekend availability required

Qualifications :

• 18 years of age and above
• Able to pass FedEx background check
• Strong customer service skills
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude
• Ability to handle physical workload - packages typically weigh 25 - 50 lbs. Must be able to lift 100 lbs
• Preferably w/ DOT medical Card
• Fluent in English and able to follow customer directions

Paid training will be provided that covers delivery/route procedures, standard equipment operations, customer service skills, and driver safety.
