At Wizards of the Coast, we connect people around the world through play and imagination. From our genre-defining games like Magic: The Gathering® and Dungeons & Dragons® to our growing multiverse, we continue to innovate and build new ways to foster friendship and connection. That’s where you come in! As a Game Collation Engineer , you're the steward of the booster-opening experience. Your mission? By applying statistical expertise and production insight, you’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to build collation plans that deliver the right mix of cards—delighting players, collectors, and competitors alike. Collaborate with internal partners and suppliers to provide cost estimates throughout product development, staying aligned with budget targets. Participate in product development meetings to align collation strategies with design intent and player expectations. Attend production approvals, such as print runs and pack-out checks at supplier facilities as needed. Propose improvements to collation methodologies, documentation, and operational tools used by the Print Operations team. What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mathematics, Game Theory, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. High-level knowledge of statistics and probability principles. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including modeling and data visualization. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment. Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking. Passion for solving complex problems and shaping unforgettable player experiences. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills across cross-functional and external teams. Deep interest in games, gaming culture, and/or entertainment. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport for international travel. Nice to Have: Familiarity with print, cutting, packaging, and collation workflows in manufacturing. Experience working with consumer product suppliers on physical goods or packaging optimization. Understanding of gaming mechanics and how rarity and distribution impact play and collecting.
