IBM CM8 Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled **Software Engineer (IBM Content Manager / CM8)** to join a fast paced engineering team supporting critical enterprise content management systems. This role focuses heavily on IBM CM8 engineering, configuration, and troubleshooting within a large-scale, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and configure solutions in IBM Content Manager 8.x, including item types, ACLs, workflows, and IBM Content Navigator (ICN).

Support and optimize Library Server and Resource Manager for enterprise-scale deployments.

Analyze CM8 logs, traces, and system dumps to diagnose and resolve performance and functional issues.

Troubleshoot workflow failures, retrieval problems, and indexing issues.

Develop applications using Java, Java EE, C++, Python, SOAP/.NET, JavaScript, Dojo, HTML, and ReactJS.

Support and troubleshoot WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and DB2 within CM8 environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and execute tasks independently.

Participate in performance tuning, configuration improvements, and system stability enhancements.

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on IBM CM8 development and configuration experience (CM 8.7 preferred).

Experience with Item Types, ACLs, Workflows, ICN, ICC for SAP, and CM APIs.

Strong background in Library Server and Resource Manager configuration and issue resolution.

Experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and DB2.

Ability to analyze CM8 logs, system dumps, and traces for debugging.

Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, Java EE, SOAP/.NET, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

Experience with LDAP, OAuth/OIDC, and SSO authentication.

OS troubleshooting skills across Windows, Linux, or UNIX.

Soft Skills

Strong execution and delivery mindset with minimal supervision required.

Ability to collaborate across engineering teams when needed.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Work Setup

Position Type: Contract 6 12 Months (with strong likelihood of extension).

Location: 100% Remote (U.S. based).

Urgent need interviewing immediately with target start in early December.

Interview Process: One highly technical round focused on IBM CM8.
