Job Title: Jr. SAS Admin
Location: 100% Remote
We are seeking a Junior SAS Administrator to support a migration project from SAS 9.4 M7 Grid (RHEL Linux) to SAS Viya 4 (cloud-based or on-prem). The role requires hands-on experience in SAS platform administration with a focus on installation, configuration, system monitoring, user access, and security. The ideal candidate will have worked in enterprise environments and participated in SAS platform migrations.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the migration from SAS 9.4 M7 Grid (RHEL Linux) to SAS Viya 4
Support installation, configuration, and integration of SAS platforms
Set up and manage user access, authentication (LDAP/SAML/SSO), and security controls
Collaborate with infrastructure and AWS teams for deployment and provisioning
Monitor system performance and assist in troubleshooting
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and IT teams during the transition
Document technical processes and create support materials
5+ years of SAS platform administration experience
Experience with SAS 9.4 M7 Grid on RHEL Linux
Hands-on with SAS Viya 4 administration
Understanding of CAS server, Viya services, and SAS compute architecture
Familiarity with AWS cloud environments and deployments
Knowledge of authentication and security setup for enterprise SAS platforms
Proficiency in writing and maintaining technical documentation
Experience in SAS 9.4 to Viya migrations
Exposure to container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
SAS Certified Platform Administrator (9.4 and/or Viya)
Experience with scripting (Shell, Ansible, Terraform)
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices for SAS environments
Collaboration with cloud engineering, security, and analytics teams may be required
Experience across both legacy and modern SAS platforms will be highly valued
