Insight Global is seeking an entry level engineer to support one of our large energy companies. This is an entry-level engineering role for someone looking to start a career in Protection & Controls - designs and maintains the systems keeping electricity safe and reliable. Will get hands-on training from experienced engineers while working on real-world grid and substation projects.
- Help engineers update and verify relay settings and protection designs.
- Review and mark up drawings and diagrams used for substation and control-house work.
- Shadow field crews during testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Learn how to read electrical prints and understand how power flows through a system.
- Assist with data collection and reports for ongoing projects.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field)
- Interest in protection & controls or power systems
- Willingness to learn hands-on and spend most days in-office for training
- Basic understanding of electrical prints and power system flow - Internship, co-op, or project experience in utilities or energy systems
- Exposure to SEL relays or substation design
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or relay testing tools
- Demonstrated curiosity about grid reliability and modernization
- Experience working with field or construction teams
