Senior Landman – Surface Operations
Direct Hire; up to 200K + bonus
Midland | Houston
The Senior Landman will lead surface land operations in the Permian Basin, serving as a trusted advisor to support company growth. This role reports to the Vice President of Land and is based in Midland or Houston, TX. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Lead and execute advanced surface land operations and agreements
Negotiate and manage ROWs, easements, surface use and related contracts
Build and maintain landowner and stakeholder relationships
Support asset teams with land expertise for construction and commercial projects
Manage surface title, due diligence, acquisitions/divestitures, and expansion projects
Collaborate with Legal, Business Development, and internal teams
Mentor and develop support staff; maintain accurate land records
Conduct field visits and ensure compliance with company safety policies
Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years of Landman experience (in-house preferred)
Extensive Permian Basin experience, with emphasis on the Delaware Basin
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and project management skills
Ability to work independently in a performance-driven environment
Proficiency with Quorum ODL (or comparable system), Microsoft Office, and mapping software
Ability to travel and visit field sites
AAPL Certified Professional Landman (CPL)
E&P small or start-up company experience
