About the Role

We are looking for a Medical Informatics Associate who will be responsible for the creation of content and delivery of custom analytics using Atropos Health’s proprietary tool stack. The Medical Informatics Associate will be responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders to build real-world evidence to support clinical and commercial decisions. To excel at this role, a candidate should have clinical domain knowledge (either MD, PA, or nursing training; active practice or licensure not required), and must have experience in the design and execution of observational studies utilizing common medical ontologies (e.g. ICD10, CPT, LOINC). The Medical Informatics Associate will NOT be providing medical advice/services but rather serving as a human-technology interface

Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, address hypotheses across various disease and treatment areas leveraging the Atropos platform 

  • Run custom analytics using Atropos Health proprietary technology stack + industry standard tools and analysis packages.

  • Supporting efforts to improve Atropos content creation process (including clinical phenotypes, dashboards, etc)

  • Present or co-present collaborative work at conferences, and authoring articles within peer-reviewed journals

  • Own end-to-end hypothesis generation and study generation across multiple health care domains

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior experience working as an analyst at a health system/life science firm/consulting firm/or financial institution.

  • Quantitative background, including but not limited to clinical informatics, bioinformatics, computer science, statistics, applied math, physics, or engineering.

  • Deep knowledge of clinical terminology standards (ICD, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC, etc) 

  • High degree of critical thinking and independent problem solving

  • Ability to work with a team of highly skilled experts

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Fluent in oral and written English

  • You must be able to work within standard business hours within US time (Any US time zone is okay)

  • Familiarity with manipulating and analyzing data in SQL, Python, or R

Ideal Qualifications

  • >2 years of past experience in real-world healthcare evidence

  • >2 years of prior history in consulting 

  • Formal clinical training or experience working in a health system

  • Track record of producing published work (peer reviewed manuscripts or poster/podium presentations)

  • Past experience in writing technical or scientific reports or publications

Reporting

The Medical Informatics Associate reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Saurabh Gombar .

Location

We are a remote first company! You must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We cannot support visa sponsorship at this time.
