Travel Nursing Opportunity in beautiful Traverse City MI!!! Lodging and mileage included!! ATC Healthcare Metro Detroit is looking for experienced Nurse Practitioners for openings with Gentiva Palliative Care. Facilitates palliative care for Gentiva Palliative Care patients, ensuring a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan, while demonstrating excellent clinical skills and ethical, relevant judgment. Provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up under the direction of the Palliative Medical Director (if required under State law). Nurse Practitioner – Palliative Care Location: Traverse City, MICompany: ATC Healthcare Metro Detroit- Contact with Gentiva Palliative CareJob Type: Full-Time | Days | Some On-Call Required Travel: 10–20% local travel for patient visits, training, and team meetings (mileage reimbursed). What You’ll Do: * Deliver in-home and community-based palliative care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up in collaboration with our Palliative Medical Director. * Develop and manage individualized care plans based on comprehensive assessments and patient/family goals. * Coordinate services across the care team—including Social Workers and Spiritual Care Coordinators—to address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. * Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests and equipment within scope of practice. * Participate in rotating call coverage and provide responsive, high-quality care. What You’ll Need: * Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) and current Nurse Practitioner licensure (Family or Adult NP preferred) * Minimum 2 years’ experience as an NP, with working knowledge of palliative care or serious illness management * Current Part B Provider status, DEA license(s), and collaborative agreement (if required by state law) * Excellent communication, documentation, and critical thinking skills * Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance Preferred: * ACHPN Certification (Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Practitioner) * Experience with Part B billing and point-of-care software

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited nurse practitioner program, usually at the master’s degree level.

EXPERIENCE

At least one year experience as a nurse practitioner in a clinical setting.

CREDENTIALS:

CPR as required by client facility; health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies.
