Process Engineer | Plainwell, MI

Salary Range: $73,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Design, implement, and monitor process improvements and new process introductions.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless process integration and project execution.
• Perform process capability studies and statistical process control (SPC) to maintain quality standards.
• Evaluate and recommend new equipment, technologies, or methodologies to enhance productivity and safety.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing process engineering role.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, technical drawings, and process flow diagrams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, R, Python)
• Experience with PLC/SCADA systems or industrial automation
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for process layouts or P&IDs
