Position: Safety Manager
Compensation: $100,000 - $140,000

Location: Georgia & Texas project sites (requires frequent travel between states)

Schedule: Full-time; flexibility required including occasional nights/weekends depending on project needs
The SPQ Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety, production, and quality (SPQ) policies and procedures across multiple project sites in Georgia and Texas. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, state, and federal regulations, while driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and quality. The SPQ Specialist will collaborate with management, supervisors, and field staff, conduct regular site inspections, lead training sessions, and investigate incidents to mitigate risks and promote continuous improvement.
Create, update, and enforce safety, production, and quality policies to maintain a compliant, efficient, and safe work environment.
Collaborate with managers, supervisors, field personnel, and quality staff to resolve SPQ-related issues.
Organize and deliver training and presentations on safety protocols, hazard communication, equipment operation, and emergency procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of work areas, equipment, and processes; identify hazards, compliance gaps, and quality issues; prepare written findings and recommendations.
Document site conditions using standardized, metric-driven reporting and dashboards.
Maintain site-specific safety plans and ensure compliance through routine inspections.
Lead root-cause investigations of accidents and near misses; develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
Develop and maintain Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) reports in collaboration with project teams.
Conduct special studies and analysis of occupational safety programs and policies.
Maintain complete safety files and records in a self-auditing manner.
Travel between project sites in Georgia and Texas regularly, as assigned.
Perform additional duties as assigned, including basic office tasks and occasional equipment operation.
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
5-10 years of experience in safety, production, and quality roles (construction industry required).
Strong knowledge of state/federal OSHA regulations and Workers’ Compensation requirements.
OSHA-30 certification required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently between Georgia and Texas.
Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Prior experience managing SPQ programs across multiple job sites.
Demonstrated success in training delivery and program implementation.
Experience with root-cause analysis and dashboard reporting systems.
