Description

Thermcraft is seeking a dynamic and energetic Sales Manager with a specialized focus on technical and industrial sales solutions. As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing a high-performing sales team, and developing strategic relationships within the industry. The Sales Manager plays a critical role in building our business and maintaining the momentum of our revenue engines. Leading a team of both inside and outside sales representatives, the Sales Manager will harness their comprehensive understanding of the sales process to steer lead generation, cultivate relationships, and successfully conclude sales transactions. The Sales Manager will have a direct set of customers to maintain and grow as well as target customers to acquire. This position is part of the Thermcraft leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of inside and outside sales representatives. Foster a collaborative and motivated environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and goal attainment.
  • Sales Process Expertise: Apply your deep knowledge of the entire sales cycle to direct the team's efforts from lead identification and nurturing to securing final sales. Offer insights and strategies that optimize each stage of the process. Manage opportunities through a CRM and opportunity pipeline.
  • Lead Generation: Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new leads. Develop strategies, campaigns, and tactics that expand our customer base and drive growth.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients. Understand their needs, challenges, and objectives, positioning our offerings as valuable solutions.
  • Closing Sales: Utilize your experience to guide the team in effective negotiation, objection handling, and ultimately closing deals. Provide support and expertise in complex or high-value sales situations. Responsible for closing opportunities either directly or through the sales team.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Contribute to the creation of a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the organization's overall objectives. Identify target markets, refine value propositions, and adapt strategies as market dynamics evolve.
  • Performance Tracking: Implement effective sales metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor the team's performance. Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the General Manager, and production, quality, marketing, and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction, align strategies, and drive revenue growth while providing field insights for strategic decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the sales team. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities, integrating relevant insights into our sales approach.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate updates, successes, and challenges to senior management. Provide clear and concise reports on sales performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles and managing teams.
  • In-depth understanding of the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt strategies to changing market conditions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Analytical mindset for data-driven decision-making.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic business environment.
  • 25% travel to trade shows and customer visits
