FLEX SEASONAL WEEKEND POSITION - TO PERMANENT

Mint Market is a locally beloved vintage and contemporary shop located in Jersey City and Hoboken, NJ since 2013. We are looking for a talented sales stylist to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, hard-working, creative, has great style and loves to deliver exceptional customer service.

We are specifically looking for weekend help and when more shifts become available during the week as well.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming all customers when they come into our store and delivering a positive customer experience
• Maintain the store's cleanliness and organization to standard.
• Visual merchandising as needed i.e. dressing mannequins, setting shelf displays and merchandising jewelry/designer bag cases.
• Complete sales transaction from selling and styling the customer to closing out the transaction in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Operate POS system, turn on all lighting points in the store and disarm/arm alarm system.
• Loss prevention - be aware of who is in the store and prevent theft by providing attentive customer service.
• Adding products to our Etsy/Posh accounts - a knowledge of fashion vocabulary and trends is a must for this task
• Social media instagram stories are part of the daily responsibilities - creating engaging and creative conten

Qualifications

• Good reliability and punctual
• Understands how to facilitate good service and make customers feel their best
• Emotional intelligence - knowing how to de-escalate situations with unhappy customers and turn a negative into a positive experience.
• A love of fashion and understanding of trends
• Friendly, honest and stylish
• Visual Merchandising/Display creation skills are a plus, dressing mannequins can be a part of the job if you are good at it
• Must be able to lift 10-15lbs

Requirements

• Retail or service experience is a must
• High school degree or in school
• Able to commute to and from Hoboken and/or Jersey City, NJ
