Salary: $16.00/hr + Overtime
Schedule: Monday - Saturday: 2:30 PM - 12:30 AM (Full-time, with overtime starting immediately)

As a Sorter & Recycling Laborer, you will play a crucial role in the recycling process, ensuring materials are properly sorted, processed, and prepared for reuse. We’re offering immediate overtime opportunities, and we're looking for individuals who want to build a lasting career in this industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and process recyclable materials, including plastics, metals, and paper, in a fast-paced environment.
• Safely operate and maintain equipment used in the recycling process.
• Monitor and remove contamination from recyclables to maintain high-quality standards.
• Work efficiently in a team environment to meet production goals.
• Ensure that materials are properly sorted and placed in the designated areas.
• Clean the work area and empty refuse containers as required.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work space.
• Work safely around moving equipment within the recycling center.

Work Environment:
At JMI Resource, our work environment is fast-paced, hands-on, and focused on sustainability. You’ll be working with various types of recycled materials and waste, meaning your day-to-day tasks will include dealing with trash and recyclables in a physically demanding environment. We work in airborne dust and dirt particles, and in varying climatic temperatures, so it's important to be comfortable in these conditions.

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic with a desire to grow within the recycling industry.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including constant lifting, climbing stairs, reaching, bending, and stooping.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time in a non-heated or cooled environment.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to lift at least 30 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work with moving equipment and stay alert in a safe manner.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or labor-intensive role is a plus but not required.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment, including 6” Steel Toe Boots.
