The Board of Barbering and Cosmetology is currently recruiting for a Special Investigator to conduct administrative investigations in response to complaints alleging violations of business and professions code and Board regulations. 

This is a home as headquarters position and multiple counties are being considered, including but not limited to, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Kern, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Riverside and Orange. The location is dependent on where the most successful candidate resides.

The Special Investigator position has a minimum age of 21 years for appointment.

The Special Investigator position requires Medical Clearance prior to being hired. 

The Special Investogator position requires a valid driver's license (DL). Provide a photocopy in PDF format of the front and back of your DL, clearly showing your name as stated on the license, issuing state, DL number, class, and expiration.
