Job Description

NYC Alliance Company LLC is seeking an experienced and visionary Sr. Designer to specialize in Woven & Knits. This critical role involves the creation and development of innovative designs that reflect both market trends and our brand identity across woven and knit categories. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to oversee the entire design process, ensuring that each collection resonates with our customers and meets our quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and design a diverse range of woven and knit products that align with brand aesthetics and customer preferences
  • Create detailed technical sketches, specifications, and presentations for production teams
  • Collaborate with product development and merchandising teams to ensure design practicality and market readiness
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends and consumer insights that inform design decisions
  • Oversee the design process from conception to production, ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Mentor junior designers, fostering their growth and encouraging a collaborative creative environment
  • Stay informed about the latest fabric developments and construction techniques to enhance product innovation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design, focusing on Woven & Knits
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in Woven & Knits design
  • Proficient in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and PLM
  • Solid understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while meeting deadlines
  • Passion for fashion trends and a strong sense of market dynamics in Woven & Knits
  • Experience with sustainable design practices is a plus
