MAJOR PURPOSE: Servicing Member transactions, in addition to cross-selling products and services while providing excellent member service.
Primary Responsibilities:
§ Verify cash drawer daily
§ Post Member daily transactions and mail receipts, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, adjustments, loan payoffs, posting of cash and non-cash items
§ Evaluates checks to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of the documents
§ Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote and cross sell products and services
§ Complete Line-Of-Credit transactions
§ Complete Vicinity Credit Union VISA Cash Advances (credit card)
§ Attend required training sessions
§ Operate TCR (Cash Recycler)
§ Initiate Teller check stop payments
§ Balances all monies in cash drawers at the end of shifts
§ Orders a cash supply to meet daily needs and ensures limited is not exceeded.
§ Fill in at other branch location when needed
§ Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records.
§ Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Position Requirements:
§ High School diploma or equivalent is required
§ Teller experience, cashiering or prior cash handling experience is preferred
§ Prior customer service experience preferred
Nature of the work requires prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk working in front of a computer and operation standard office equipment. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Working Environment:
The majority of the work performed will be in an office environment.
