Title: UNIVERSITY SECURITY OFFICER I, SR14, BU-03Position Number: 0901217Job Type: FULL-TIME TEMPORARYOrganization: UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII - MAUI COLLEGELocation: KAUNAKAKAI, MOLOKAILast Day To File: JANUARY 15, 2026; 11:59PM, HSTWork Schedule: SHIFTWORKFund: SPECIALSalary: $ 4,054 MONTHLYOther Conditions: POSITION IS RENEWABLE BASED ON THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDING Shiftwork: Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.Duties SummaryPatrols the campus and other assigned areas to enforce laws, rules and regulations for the protection and security of personnel and property, and to detect and prevent attempts by persons to violate the law; conducts investigations of violations, prepares reports and takes appropriate action; and performs other related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualification Requirements -To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following requirements: Specialized Experience: One (1) year of progressively responsible work experience in the enforcement of security laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the protection of personnel and property.Guard License: Applicants must possess a current, valid State of Hawaii Security Guard License at the time of appointment.Information about obtaining an application for the Security Guard License is available with the State Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs via: Allowed: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements, will apply.Certification: All applicants must obtain valid First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates or equivalent within six (6) months from the date of employment.Suitability Investigations: For this recruitment, the Department of Human Resources Development will conduct a thorough investigation of an applicant's suitability for employment before being hired.
