Job Description

Automotive Bookkeeper:

Our new car dealership in Morris County has been family owned since 1965.  We have a great opportunity for a Bookkeeper on our Accounting team.   The right person must be detail oriented, customer focused and a team player.   Our accounting office provides support for the entire dealership and being able to properly communicate and maintain professionalism is a must.  The right candidate will have automotive accounting experience from posting to the general ledger to cleaning schedules and all the items in between. You will be joining an accounting team of 3 individuals who do a fantastic job as team players, within a fast-moving environment.  Automotive accounting experience is highly desired, but we would be willing to teach the right motivated person.  

Examples of some responsibilities:

· Interpret, record & process all auto business accounting activity assigned.

· Communicate with the team with any issues, questions or suggestions.

· Maintain and improve processes and procedures with the accounting team.

· Ensure you are adhering to internal controls.

Core position tasks:

· Process product cancellations.

· Posting of all new and used car deals. 

· Incentive management.

· Processing used car purchases.

· Posting manufacturer parts statement invoices.

· Assisting with other accounting tasks.

Core qualification requirements:

· Bookkeeping/accounting background, attention to detail & team player.

· Accounting experience in an automotive dealership is preferred, but not required.

Computer skills required:

· CDK

· Microsoft Suite (specifically Excel and Word).
