Description of Role:

A Data analyst is responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform business decisions; they typically gather data from various sources, perform statistical analysis, create visualizations, and present findings to stakeholders through reports and presentations, ultimately aiming to provide actionable insights to improve operations and strategies within our organization.

Salary:

This position pays $28-$35/hr, depending on experience

Tasks:

• Data collection and sourcing: Gathering data from G suite resources (similar to Microsoft office, excel, visual basic, etc... )

• Data cleaning and preparation: Identifying and correcting data inconsistencies, duplicates, and errors to ensure data quality.

• Data analysis: Performing statistical analysis using excel/Gsuite formulas, scripts, SQL, etc..

• Data visualization: Creating clear and compelling charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.

• Reporting and presentation: Developing comprehensive reports with key findings and actionable recommendations, presenting them to relevant decision-makers.

• Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams like Engineering, Program Management, and operations to understand business needs and identify relevant data analysis questions.

Skills & Responsibilities:

• Programming and data analysis skills, including Excel formulas, scripting, Macros, App Script, and Power BI.
• Statistical analysis experience, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and probability.
• SQL proficiency and the ability to work with relational databases and large-scale datasets.
• Strong critical thinking and pattern recognition skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present data insights effectively to diverse audiences.
• Cross-functional team coordination and collaboration skills.
• Project management experience with a proven ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to learn and work with proprietary software and manage metadata standards.
• Self-starter mentality, capable of working independently after training and mentorship.
• Business acumen to translate objectives into actionable insights and risk assessments.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with experience in a data analyst role or similar.
