Maintenance Supervisor (Food Manufacturing)
Location:  White Bear Lake, MN
Salary: $71,800 – $89,700 per year (based on experience)
Schedule:  Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | 2-2-3 Schedule

Overview

An established food manufacturing company in White Bear Lake, MN is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations in a 24/7 production facility. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure equipment reliability, product quality, and employee safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance employees and daily maintenance activities across assigned shifts.
• Coordinate and prioritize work to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
• Collaborate with plant engineering and production leadership to support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Oversee maintenance and capital projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain utilities such as refrigeration, electrical, steam, and compressed air systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues.
• Ensure all documentation, records, and reports are accurate and up to date.
• Promote and enforce safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Train, coach, and develop maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally within food, dairy, or beverage manufacturing.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLCs, electrical systems, packaging equipment, and ammonia compressors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work a 12-hour night shift and occasional weekends as needed.
